Artist's Bio
"Since she was a child, W. Jayne Stanley has felt a kinship with the earth and its inhabitants...She credits her talent and spiritual connections with fiber arts to her Grandmothers who specialized in coiled basketry for generations. Jayne began weaving in 1985, and in 1989 established Indian Earth Arts (TM), a company dedicated to the preservation of coiled basketry, native cultures and environmental education. IEC evolved into Gourdsket Vessel Company, Inc. to specialize in quality fiber art kits and handcrafted vessels created from gourds and basketry materials.
