Micaceous
Primitive Pottery
by Suann
Davin |
|
|
This hand made pot is a combination of a primitive architectural
qualities and modern lines. There is a hint of the oriental
influence in this piece. The smoke spots add an additional
element. When traditional firing techniques are used, a
small gust of breeze can cause dark spots on the piece.
We think they add to the depth of the colors.
Micaceous clay has a sparkly finish to it caused by the
minerals in the clay. It also is sturdy after firing and
can be used as serving dishes. Should not be used in the
microwave or dishwasher. With a little hand care, this pot
will give you good service for a long time - just as its
fellow pots have for centuries past.
